Essex County Busted Mugshots and CORI
The CORI system tracks criminal records across Massachusetts. For Essex County busted mugshots and arrest histories, CORI provides a formal check on what someone has been charged with and how the case turned out. You can run a public access check through iCORI for $50. It shows felony convictions within two years of release and misdemeanor convictions within one year.
CORI does not include the actual booking photo. It is a text-based report. But it confirms whether an arrest happened and what the charges were. Under M.G.L. c. 6, Sections 167 through 178B, only Massachusetts offenses appear in CORI. Federal arrests or out-of-state charges will not show up even if the person lives in Essex County. To get the actual mugshot, you still need to file a separate request with the arresting agency.
Note: A personal CORI check costs $25 and shows your complete criminal history in Massachusetts, including sealed entries marked as such.
